About the Angel Tree Program

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has been running for over 45 years to help provide Christmas gifts from generous donors for hundreds of thousands of children, seniors, and adults with special needs around the country each year.

In North Texas, which hosts one of the largest Angel Tree programs in the world, The Salvation Army ensures tens of thousands experience the joy of Christmas morning each year. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program serves as a symbol of hope, particularly at a time when many are continuing to struggle with the impacts of inflation and rising costs. Across the region, thousands are faced with tough choices on how to stretch their already tight household budgets, leaving many torn between purchasing presents for the holidays or putting food on the table.

The Salvation Angel Tree program helps alleviate that added financial and emotional stress.

Important Dates

  • September 12: Online registration opens for the Angel Tree program
  • October 10: Registration for Angel Tree assistance closes
  • November 3: Angel Tree adoptions open to the public online and at participating malls
  • December 5-6: Gift drop-offs available at drive-thru locations across North Texas
  • December 6: Last day to adopt an Angel and return your gifts
  • December 12-18: Distribution of gifts to families across North Texas

Support the program

We thank you for joining us this holiday season to give with joy at a time when families and individuals across the region are facing greater hardship than ever before.

Didn't have a chance to adopt an Angel this year? There are two ways you can still support the Angel Tree program to ensure tens of thousands of children, seniors, and adults with special needs experience the joy of Christmas. Giving financially ensures all Angels will have their Christmas wish lists fulfilled this season.
